The Canadian Hutterite colonists are an old Christian group devoted to a simple agricultural lifestyle. They follow the basic teachings of the Bible, and live peacefully in self sustaining communities. Having emigrated from Europe many years ago, they brought the farming kills of generations with them, including the raising of geese.
Different Hutterite colonies specialize in different agricultures. Lajord White Goose Down comes from a very special goose farm located in Saskatchewan that takes great care in raising free range geese that are more mature than those in other colonies. And we take their entire production every year.
With a loft of 800 cubic inches per ounce, this down is the most prized of all domestic downs raised in North America.
About The Pillowcase
The Lajord Colony White Goose Down pillow is completely machine washable. Covered in a special, German made 100% Egyptian cotton that is also completely dust mite proof. There are no chemical finishes; just pure natural cotton that is specially woven to make it permanently down proof and mite proof even after repeated washings. To achieve a sealed seam there is no piping.
How To Care For Your Pillow
We recommed washing these pillows individually, and only when soiled. A good quality washable pillow protector is strongly recommended.
